In March 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Snakes And Ladders by Adrian Berg. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,210.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adrian Berg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Regent's Park, January, February '63 in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,089.98).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snakes And Ladders von Adrian Berg zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.210,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrian Berg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Regent's Park, January, February '63 im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.089,98).
