It achieved a price of USD 51,200.00 (€ 46,938.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Admittedly, works by Adriaen van Utrecht have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stillleben mit Früchten, Gemüse und einem Papagei in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 210,800.00.

Die Arbeit Vanitas still life with a bouquet and a skull 26 9/16 x 33 15/16 in (67.5 x 86.2 cm) von Adriaen van Utrecht kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 51.200,00 (€ 46.938,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen van Utrecht auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stillleben mit Früchten, Gemüse und einem Papagei im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 210.800,00.
