Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work A Variety Of Birds Including A Peacock, Turkey, Chickens, And Ducks With Their Young Drinking, Playing And Pecking About In A Yard by Adriaen van Utrecht. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 44,629.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adriaen van Utrecht have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stillleben mit Früchten, Gemüse und einem Papagei in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 210,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Variety Of Birds Including A Peacock, Turkey, Chickens, And Ducks With Their Young Drinking, Playing And Pecking About In A Yard von Adriaen van Utrecht zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 44.629,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen van Utrecht auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stillleben mit Früchten, Gemüse und einem Papagei im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 210.800,00.
