Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and British Drawings, which included the work Study Of A Seated Boy Leaning On A Flagon by Adriaen van de Velde. The price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 98,089.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adriaen van de Velde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View from the Dunes out to Sea in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 562,500.00 (€ 659,647.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study Of A Seated Boy Leaning On A Flagon von Adriaen van de Velde zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 98.089,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaen van de Velde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View from the Dunes out to Sea im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 562.500,00 (€ 659.647,88).
