This artwork by Adriaen van de Velde achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2018. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Milking Time sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,563.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen van de Velde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View from the Dunes out to Sea in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 562,500.00 (€ 659,647.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adriaen van de Velde erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Milking Time für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.563,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adriaen van de Velde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View from the Dunes out to Sea im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 562.500,00 (€ 659.647,88).
