Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures Watering Their Cattle With Their Flock, Ruined Buildings Beyond by Adriaen van de Velde for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 38,427.67). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adriaen van de Velde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View from the Dunes out to Sea in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 562,500.00 (€ 659,647.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures Watering Their Cattle With Their Flock, Ruined Buildings Beyond von Adriaen van de Velde für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 38.427,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adriaen van de Velde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View from the Dunes out to Sea im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 562.500,00 (€ 659.647,88).
