Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2004 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Skaters and sledgers in a frozen winter landscape by Adriaan Marinus Geyp. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 836.50 (€ 1,248.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaan Marinus Geyp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seasons: a forest path in summer; and A forest path in autumn, which sold at auction in February 2004 for EUR 2,987.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Skaters and sledgers in a frozen winter landscape von Adriaan Marinus Geyp zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 836,50 (€ 1.248,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Adriaan Marinus Geyp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seasons: a forest path in summer; and A forest path in autumn beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für EUR 2.987,50 versteigert wurde.
