The work Seasons: a forest path in summer; and A forest path in autumn by Adriaan Marinus Geyp was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. The price achieved of EUR 2,987.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Seasons: a forest path in summer; and A forest path in autumn is the most expensive artwork by Adriaan Marinus Geyp that we have observed at auctions so far.
