Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2010 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern & Contemporary Art, Including Masterpieces from The Collection of Dr. Mohammed Said Farsi, which included this untitled work by Adel El Siwi. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 32,889.79). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adel El Siwi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Red & The Blue, which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 158,500.00 (€ 119,812.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2010 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern & Contemporary Art, Including Masterpieces from The Collection of Dr. Mohammed Said Farsi durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Adel El Siwi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 32.889,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adel El Siwi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Red & The Blue beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 158.500,00 (€ 119.812,53) versteigert wurde.
