In October 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work The Young Fishermen by Adam Emory Albright. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 27,647.22), 33% above the upper estimate. With this result, The Young Fishermen is even the most expensive work of art by Adam Emory Albright that we have observed at auctions so far.
