Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Adam Emory Albright achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. In the American Paintings auction, the work First Chores sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 12,654.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Emory Albright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Young Fishermen, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 27,647.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adam Emory Albright erzielte im März 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit First Chores für USD 20.000,00 (€ 12.654,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Emory Albright mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Young Fishermen beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 27.647,22) versteigert wurde.
