The work A Young Lady, In White Silk Dress With Double Lace Collar, Her Brown Hair Elaborately Plaited And Upswept by Adalbert Suchy was sold in the IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU auction at Christies in London in July 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 660.00 (€ 957.32). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adalbert Suchy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maria Carolina of Habsburg (1752-1814), Queen of Naples, facing left in lace-bordered white silk dress with fichu, white sash tied in bow at waist, lace cap with ribbons in her curling hair tied under her chin, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,365.63).
