Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction PORTRAIT MINIATURES, OBJECTS OF VERTU AND SILVER, which included the work A young lady in black dress, a scarlet stole over her arm, her black hair dressed in plaits and curls by Adalbert Suchy. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 880.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adalbert Suchy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maria Carolina of Habsburg (1752-1814), Queen of Naples, facing left in lace-bordered white silk dress with fichu, white sash tied in bow at waist, lace cap with ribbons in her curling hair tied under her chin, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,365.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion PORTRAIT MINIATURES, OBJECTS OF VERTU AND SILVER durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady in black dress, a scarlet stole over her arm, her black hair dressed in plaits and curls von Adalbert Suchy zur Versteigerung kam.
