Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A shepherd and his flock outside Rome, St Peter's behind; and Lunchtime by an ancient aqueduct (illustrated) by Achille Buzzi was sold in the British & Continental Watercolours & Maritime Paintings auction at Christies in London in March 2007. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,059.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Achille Buzzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Necklace in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,515.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A shepherd and his flock outside Rome, St Peter's behind; and Lunchtime by an ancient aqueduct (illustrated) von Achille Buzzi wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours & Maritime Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.059,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Achille Buzzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Necklace im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.515,85).
