This artwork by Abraham Willemsens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2003. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction, the work The courtyard of a country inn with peasants eating and drinking sold for GBP 17,925.00 (€ 26,181.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abraham Willemsens; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A peasant family in a yard sold at auction in November 2001 with the realized price of EUR 30,550.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Abraham Willemsens erzielte im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES wurde die Arbeit The courtyard of a country inn with peasants eating and drinking für GBP 17.925,00 (€ 26.181,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00.
