In May 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Interior With A Mother Spinning Yarn By A Cradle by Abraham Willemsens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,963.90), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Willemsens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A peasant family in a yard, which sold at auction in November 2001 for EUR 30,550.00.

Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior With A Mother Spinning Yarn By A Cradle von Abraham Willemsens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.963,90) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham Willemsens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A peasant family in a yard beobachtet, die im November 2001 für EUR 30.550,00 versteigert wurde.
