In the The Collection of the Late John Appleby: A Channel Island Treasure House auction, the work Saint Luke the Evangelist sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,286.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Willaerts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ships Moored Off A Rocky Coastline With Fishermen Unloading Their Catch in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 102,074.99).
