Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Picnic by Abraham Walkowitz was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in December last year. The price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,813.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Walkowitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cityscape in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,270.61).

Die Arbeit Picnic von Abraham Walkowitz kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.813,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Walkowitz erzielen.
