This artwork by Abraham Storck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2016. In the Old Master and British Paintings auction, the work A capriccio of Venice sold for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,022.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Storck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capricci of Mediterranean ports: the first with the monument of the Four Moors of Leghorn; the second with a monument of Abundance in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 443,750.00 (€ 717,537.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abraham Storck erzielte im November 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings wurde die Arbeit A capriccio of Venice für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.022,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Storck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Capricci of Mediterranean ports: the first with the monument of the Four Moors of Leghorn; the second with a monument of Abundance im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 443.750,00 (€ 717.537,91).
