Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work View of Tonbridge, looking towards the Castle by Abraham Rutgers. The price achieved of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 42,130.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abraham Rutgers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Skaters on the Vecht in winter, with a slanting tree in the foreground in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 302,500.00 (€ 381,547.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of Tonbridge, looking towards the Castle von Abraham Rutgers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 42.130,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham Rutgers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Skaters on the Vecht in winter, with a slanting tree in the foreground im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.500,00 (€ 381.547,61).
