Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Upper Ward of Windsor Castle, from the South by Abraham Rutgers was sold in the Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,223.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abraham Rutgers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Skaters on the Vecht in winter, with a slanting tree in the foreground in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 302,500.00 (€ 381,547.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Upper Ward of Windsor Castle, from the South von Abraham Rutgers wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 72.223,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham Rutgers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Skaters on the Vecht in winter, with a slanting tree in the foreground im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.500,00 (€ 381.547,61).
