Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Musicien by Abraham Mintchine was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,451.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Mintchine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Musician With Parakeet, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 110,500.00 (€ 84,765.27).

Die Arbeit Le Musicien von Abraham Mintchine kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.451,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
