Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora, which included the work Interior of a studio (Siesta) by Abraham Mintchine. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,108.90). Admittedly, works by Abraham Mintchine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Musician With Parakeet in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 110,500.00 (€ 84,765.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior of a studio (Siesta) von Abraham Mintchine zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 9.562,50 (€ 11.108,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham Mintchine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Musician With Parakeet im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.500,00 (€ 84.765,27).
