Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included the work Artist On Balcony With His Muse by Abraham Mintchine. The price achieved of USD 5,938.00 (€ 4,266.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Mintchine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musician With Parakeet in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 110,500.00 (€ 84,765.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Artist On Balcony With His Muse von Abraham Mintchine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.938,00 (€ 4.266,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Mintchine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musician With Parakeet im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.500,00 (€ 84.765,27).
