Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Saint Jerome by Abraham Janssens. The price achieved of USD 100,800.00 (€ 86,545.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abraham Janssens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint Jerome in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 492,500.00 (€ 456,272.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Jerome von Abraham Janssens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 86.545,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham Janssens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Saint Jerome im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 492.500,00 (€ 456.272,00).
