It achieved a price of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 59,094.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham de Vries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Jacques Boyceau (1560-1633), which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 170,100.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl as a shepherdess, half-length, in a green gown, holding a crook von Abraham de Vries kam im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 59.094,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham de Vries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Jacques Boyceau (1560-1633) beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 170.100,00 versteigert wurde.
