Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in black by Abraham de Vries. The price achieved of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,796.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham de Vries achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Jacques Boyceau (1560-1633) in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 170,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in black von Abraham de Vries zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.796,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham de Vries erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Jacques Boyceau (1560-1633) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 170.100,00.
