The work Portrait of a parson, half length, wearing black costume with lace collar and black cap by Abraham de Vries was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2001. It achieved a price of NLG 17,625.00 (€ 8,490.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%.
