Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in London held the auction PIPEWELL HALL, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE AND BOSTOCK HOUSE, CHESHIRE, which included the work Breaking Cover; And Gone Away by Abraham Cooper. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,390.00 (€ 2,147.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Daniel Haigh, Master Of The Old Surrey And Burstow Hunt On His Horse Kitten in June 2008 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 35,718.82).
