Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life Of Fruit In A Landscape With The Fragment Of A Bas-Relief by Abraham Brueghel was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. The price achieved of USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,393.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abraham Brueghel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A watermelon, cherries, peaches, apricots, plums, pomegranate and figs with lilies, roses, morning glory and other flowers on an acanthus stone relief, a mountainous landscape beyond in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 276,800.00 (€ 401,759.70).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 55.393,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden.
