Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Abigail Varela was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,467.59). Admittedly, works by Abigail Varela have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mujer Sentada En Sofa in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,270.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Abigail Varela wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.467,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abigail Varela auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mujer Sentada En Sofa im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.270,61).
