In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Viajera y baúl by Abigail Varela. The »bidding war« ended at USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,197.39), 39% above the upper estimate. Other works by Abigail Varela have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,270.61) in May 2019 for the work Mujer Sentada En Sofa.

Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Viajera y baúl von Abigail Varela zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.197,39) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Abigail Varela haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.270,61) im Mai 2019 für die Arbeit Mujer Sentada En Sofa beobachtet.
