Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Water Alphabet by Abelardo Morell was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,393.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abelardo Morell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Detail of Book Damaged by Water, 2001 in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,367.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Water Alphabet von Abelardo Morell kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.393,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abelardo Morell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Detail of Book Damaged by Water, 2001 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.367,27).
