Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Makan (The Place) by Abdulrahman Al Soliman was auctioned at Sothebys in Doha in October 2014. The price achieved of USD 34,375.00 (€ 27,434.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abdulrahman Al Soliman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saudiworshippers Leaving The Mosque in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 155,057.58).
