This artwork by Abdulrahman Al Soliman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2018. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Saudia Woman Sitting (Afternoon Session) sold for GBP 131,250.00 (€ 148,009.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abdulrahman Al Soliman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Saudiworshippers Leaving The Mosque sold at auction in October 2018 with the realized price of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 155,057.58).
