Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (from the Impressionist Collection) by Abdul Qader Al Rais was sold in the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2008. The price achieved of USD 146,500.00 (€ 115,518.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdul Qader Al Rais - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bishra (Announcement), which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 385,000.00 (€ 247,302.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (from the Impressionist Collection) von Abdul Qader Al Rais wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 115.518,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdul Qader Al Rais mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bishra (Announcement) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 385.000,00 (€ 247.302,16) versteigert wurde.
