Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Dream by Abdul Qader Al Rais was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2017. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 71,262.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdul Qader Al Rais - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bishra (Announcement), which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 385,000.00 (€ 247,302.16).

Die Arbeit The Dream von Abdul Qader Al Rais kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 71.262,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdul Qader Al Rais mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bishra (Announcement) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 385.000,00 (€ 247.302,16) versteigert wurde.
