Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Azaleas by Abbott Fuller Graves. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,057.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abbott Fuller Graves have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grandmother's Doorway in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 180,000.00 (€ 145,760.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Azaleas von Abbott Fuller Graves zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.057,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abbott Fuller Graves auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grandmother's Doorway im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 180.000,00 (€ 145.760,79).
