Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Coalbrookdale, England, c. 1960 by Aart Klein for GBP 525.00 (€ 612.88). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Aart Klein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urban landscapes 1-3, c. 1960 in May 2010 with an auction result of GBP 4,625.00 (€ 5,418.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
