Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Facades), C. 1960 by Aart Klein was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,625.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aart Klein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Urban landscapes 1-3, c. 1960, which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 4,625.00 (€ 5,418.83).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Facades), C. 1960 von Aart Klein kam im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.625,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Aart Klein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Urban landscapes 1-3, c. 1960 beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für GBP 4.625,00 (€ 5.418,83) versteigert wurde.
