This artwork by Aaron Shikler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2016. In the American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation auction, the work Portrait Of Cathy sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,683.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aaron Shikler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cathy At Easel, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 85,000.00 (€ 54,627.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Aaron Shikler erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Cathy für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.683,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Aaron Shikler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cathy At Easel beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 85.000,00 (€ 54.627,25) versteigert wurde.
