The work Boy with Souvenir by Aaron Shikler was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2005. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,975.95) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aaron Shikler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cathy At Easel in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 85,000.00 (€ 54,627.25).

Die Arbeit Boy with Souvenir von Aaron Shikler wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.975,95) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aaron Shikler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cathy At Easel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 85.000,00 (€ 54.627,25).
