Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Candleflame by Aaron Fink was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 813.00 (€ 756.91). Admittedly, works by Aaron Fink have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled 73 x 67 in. (185.4 x 170.2 cm) framed 74 x 68 x 2 in. in November this year with an auction result of USD 3,584.00 (€ 3,285.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Candleflame von Aaron Fink im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 813,00 (€ 756,91) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aaron Fink auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled 73 x 67 in. (185.4 x 170.2 cm) framed 74 x 68 x 2 in. im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.584,00 (€ 3.285,66).
