Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by A.D. Pirous achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Balinese Temple sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,932.86) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by A.D. Pirous - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bila Bumi Bergetar II (When The Earth Quakes II), which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,453.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von A.D. Pirous erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Balinese Temple für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.932,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von A.D. Pirous mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bila Bumi Bergetar II (When The Earth Quakes II) beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.453,52) versteigert wurde.
