Instagram is now an important part of the art world. Artists make direct contact with collectors here and museums are increasingly attracting visitors with immersive exhibitions that allow them to create great posts and stories. INSTA ME, BABY! explores the relatively young but already highly influential relationship between art and social media. The exhibition by the association KUNST für ANGELN e.V. explores this complex interplay: it explores the aesthetics of artworks in the digital world, emphasizing both the critical and playful use of social media. In addition to works of art from the Roosen-Trinks collection, including works by Slim Aarons, Thorsten Brinkmann, Andreas Mühe, Stefan Hirsig and Tom Sachs, the latest results of two workshops organized in connection with the exhibition will also be on display. The participating artists explore the possibilities offered by social media – art can do more than look instagrammable. The exhibition will take place from April 7 to May 5 at the Wittkielhof near Kappeln between Flensburg and Kiel. On April 7, a panel discussion with experts and artists from 3:30 p.m. will provide a fitting introduction.

The association KUNST für ANGELN e.V. was founded in 2022 by Ingrid Roosen-Trinks to promote art and cultural projects in the north of Schleswig-Holstein. The focus is on making national and international art accessible. The Roosen-Trinks collection is presented in changing exhibitions at the Wittkielhof. The collector, who influenced the Berlin art scene with her OPEN HOUSE events, is the first to make a private collection of contemporary art publicly accessible in the north of Schleswig-Holstein. She generally guides groups of visitors personally through the exhibitions: »It is precisely this personal communication of contemporary art that is close to my heart. I have been discovering art for myself for decades and I deliberately say 'discover' and not 'collect'. [...] I particularly enjoy passing on this enthusiasm for art - for me, this is personal, authentic 'art education'.«Art.Salon

London, Tate Britain

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.

Guido Klumpe

It is in the context of functional architecture in urban spaces that Guido Klumpe finds the motifs that he stages with his camera as the poetry of the profane. His picturesque images unfold an opulent effect with a reduced formal language, showing us the beauty of the moment in the flow of everyday life.
