Regent's Park in London has been the home of Frieze Art Fair, also known as Frieze London, since 2003. In 2012, the fair was supplemented by Frieze Masters, which is dedicated to works of art from before the year 2000. Frieze London is being restructured this year: A groundbreaking new floor plan, developed by London-based design studio A Studio Between, opens up new spatial structures. Above all, the section with curated exhibitions will be brought to the fore. Frieze Masters will also be reorganized, creating never-before-seen connections and juxtapositions through art history. Both fairs will take place in 2024 from October 9 to 13.

At Frieze Masters, 130 galleries from 26 countries exhibit, at Frieze London over 160 galleries from 43 countries. The latter brings back the Artist-to-Artist section, which made its successful debut in 2023. Six famous artists, including Rashid Johnson, Lubaina Himid and Yinka Shonibare, each selected one artist to receive a solo presentation at the fair. A newcomer is the Smoke section, curated by Pablo José Ramírez from the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles: ceramic art by artists of indigenous descent establishes the little-noticed influential position of the art form in contemporary art.Art.Salon

Dive deeper into the art world

London, Tate Britain

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.

Guido Klumpe

It is in the context of functional architecture in urban spaces that Guido Klumpe finds the motifs that he stages with his camera as the poetry of the profane. His picturesque images unfold an opulent effect with a reduced formal language, showing us the beauty of the moment in the flow of everyday life.
