SoWa Power Station Boston: »Imagine Van Gogh«.

A unique sensory journey through Van Gogh projections

SoWa Power Station in Boston turns the most famous Van Gogh works into a sensory experience by projecting the paintings onto large-scale surfaces. Imagine Van Gogh is anything but an ordinary exhibition, but an art project that virtually brings the Dutch artist to life. The spectacle will be on view from December 21, 2021.

December 19, 2021

The SoWa Power Station packs over 200 paintings by the famous eccentric Vincent van Gogh into a performance that appeals to all the senses: visitors of the original Imagine Van Gogh can wander through large-format projections of Van Gogh's works, allowing themselves to be swept away by every detail. They also include the most famous paintings created between 1888 and 1890 in Provence, Arles and Auvers-sur-Oise. The projection exhibition can be seen between December 21, 2021 and March 20, 2022.

Artistic direction was provided by Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron, who are most respected in the industry for their work at the Cathédrale d'Images in Les Baux-de-Provence, France. In a way, the Imagine Van Gogh exhibition brings the Dutch artist to life. When visiting the exhibition, the audience is immersed in Van Gogh's dream world and taken on a journey to the heart of his work.Art.Salon

First bronze sculptures by Mathias Kadolph

The lively, dynamic and concentrated formal language of sculptor Mathias Kadolph has so far manifested itself primarily through his material, wood. Now, for the first time, he has had miniatures cast in bronze in an edition of twelve sculptures each. These convey essential impressions of his formal ideas and open up to new impulses for our perception.
