Frank Stella's new NFTs

A Stella sculpture of your own: NFTs for 3D printing

Having already produced complex sculptures himself with 3D printers, Frank Stella is now letting future buyers decide: His new NFT series includes instructions for printing so that those interested can produce their own Stella sculpture. From 9 September, the NFTs will be available for purchase for 1,000 US dollars.

On 9 September, the Artist Right Society launches a new platform called Arsnl. New NFTs by Frank Stella will be for sale there for 1,000 US dollars each. The special feature: The NFTs, which are published in an edition of 100, come with instructions for 3D printing so that future owners can create their own Stella sculptures. The size of the object is flexible.

Frank Stella (*1936) has been known for his colour field paintings since the 1950s and is also considered an important sculptor and object artist. He has already experimented with 3D printer sculptures himself. »NFTs were the natural next step«, Stella said. »NFTs are exciting. [...] We can build in resale rights; that’s something we’ve worked, rather fruitlessly, on for decades. It will be wonderful if technology can give us what the government never would.«Art.Salon

Dive deeper into the art world

London, Tate Britain

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.

Guido Klumpe

It is in the context of functional architecture in urban spaces that Guido Klumpe finds the motifs that he stages with his camera as the poetry of the profane. His picturesque images unfold an opulent effect with a reduced formal language, showing us the beauty of the moment in the flow of everyday life.
