Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Poem in Running Script by Zuo Zongtang. The price achieved of HKD 48,450.00 (€ 5,487.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zuo Zongtang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 251,029.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem in Running Script von Zuo Zongtang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 48.450,00 (€ 5.487,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zuo Zongtang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 251.029,46).
