Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Stories of Su Dongpo by Zou Yigui. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 45,575.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Zou Yigui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 394,000.00 (€ 350,596.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stories of Su Dongpo von Zou Yigui zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 45.575,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zou Yigui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 394.000,00 (€ 350.596,19).
